sorry for the late answer, i obviosuly missed the question from you, brian. the problem still exists - better, it existed 'til i switched from the SMP-kernel to the 386 without smp. after that step, ndiswrapper and my dongle worked properly without any problems. i could install the 686-kernel again for testing purposes, if that would be of any help.
