Thank you for your reply.  It is likely that the boot issue is related
to the lack of free disk space. Could you try to install and run
filelight or k4dirstat to check what files and folders are taking the
disk space? Both packages are available in Kubuntu's repositories. I do
not have experience on either programs but the k4dirstat seems to be
more advanced. Thanks in advance.
