Version 25.0.1364.160 Ubuntu 13.04 (25.0.1364.160-0ubuntu3) On debugging, I noticed this string "HTML5_AUDIO_SRC_NOT_SUPPORTED", on checking the underlying audio link, it seems that chromium was not able to play the audio because of the absence of codec. Installing chromium- codecs-ffmpeg-extra solves this issue. Now Soundcloud works fine.
