You might be able to use the SAK keys to sync the hard disk, then reboot and see if anything was logged. e.g. when the system freezes, press: Alt + SysRq + S U S B (hold down Alt+SysRq and press S U S B in order) That should reboot the system. If not, use the reset button or power-cycle it. Then: $ cd /var/log $ ls -ltr And see if anything useful was logged.
