I had the same problem, and I went to freenode, #ubuntu and asked for
help. It seems the postinstall script just fails at cleaning up.

A dirty quickfix is to open "grub-efi-amd64.postinst" in /var/lib/dpkg/info/
with a text editor as root and adding "exit 0" right after 'set -e' in the top
of the file. Then just run "dpkg --configure -a" as root in a terminal.

It worked for me, no idea if it'll work for anyone else. My computer did
boot up normally before I got rid of the problem though. //Use at your
own risk.//
