Don't know why I considered this an upstream issue. The \t simply wasn't
replaced with [tab] in Launchpad so this was clearly a problem with the
translation template. Somebody seems to have fixed this for the Ubuntu
project. The "wrong" string still appears as "in upstream" suggestion
but I don't think there is an easy way of fixing that and it actually
shouldn't matter.

Can somebody confirm this is fixed in Ubuntu Saucy?
