Yep I have this problem - very frustrasting that the 13.04 install can't handle this nicely. Resorted to the boot-repair utility on the linux- secure disk (formally ubuntu secure). This got the system booting but left this error which occurred everytime I installed something.
The dirty hack from Red above fixed the error but I don't know if whatever caused it will bite back later. The install bug needs fixing and the script needs to not fail. BTW for somereason everything <just> worked on a HDD but all this trouble occured when I tried to install on an SSD -no idea why. If you got here looking for "ubuntu fails to install on SSD grub" then get boot-repair and run it from a live CD, "repair" the SSD boot (gave me erros but worked), boot and if you experience this error complain (and use Red's hack). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178534 Title: error processing grub-efi-amd64 (2.00-13ubuntu3) in 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1178534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
