Tried the same file from an Ubuntu 12.04 install on a different machine
and got the same result (printer hangs).

Here's some more info:

Printer completely frozen at this point and will not respond to any
button pushing.  Solution has been to remove and replace power cord, and
restart printer.  At this point it feeds the "stuck" page and is ready
to print a new job.
