To sum up our IRC discussions, a few things to try are: - Install precise, verify it's still working correctly - Upgrade to a raring kernel in precise (install linux-generic-lts-raring-eol-upgrade and reboot) and see if this causes the problem to appear - If not, also upgrade to raring X stack in precise (install xserver-xorg-lts-raring and libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-raring, reboot) and see if this causes the problem to appear
Also, does anything appear in dmesg when these problems appear, that could give us a hint of what is happening? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1201528 Title: [Realtek ALC889] - Audio Playback Unavailable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1201528/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
