I had similar issues. In my case it was due to my battery being dead and being connected to a low quality AC power source.
Your CPU is stuck at 1.20 GHz, but should go up to 2.10 GHz : current policy: frequency should be within 1.20 GHz and 1.20 GHz. There is more info here: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_with_CPU_frequency_scaling In my case I connected directly to a higher quality AC source (without an extension cable), added "processor.ignore_ppc=1" to the kernel boot command line, and am running without the (dead) battery installed. Try that out and see if it helps. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1177439 Title: Firefox freezes temporarily To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1177439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
