installed linux-image-3.9.0-030900rc8-generic as requested and had problems and lost wifi alltogether, after some trial and test I removed the image and went about reconnecting the wireless driver for the broadcom and blacklisted B43 in blacklist.conf and the wifi now workd but the on lamp for wifi power on doesn't light, Watched for several days and wifi is not failing so its fixed if that helps good.
