Hi, I have the same problem with thinkpad 600X with 192M of memory.
My whole context is thinkpad 600X thinkpad T30 ubuntu i386 7.04 Desktop kubuntu i386 7.04 Desktop mandriva 2007.1 One Free KDE I can install three CD on T30 I can install mandriva on both laptops Launch of kubuntu stops just after loading initrd.gz ......... (clear screen) invalid compressed format (err=2) -- System halted Launch of ubuntu goes more and says : ...
