https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.22/+bug/127578 when I close the lid on my laptop, suspend and resume (whatever I select in the power management ) locks my system, although an echo "3" > /proc/acpi/sleep works fine....all my outputs of dmesg and whatnot are on the link above, if you need any more info, please ask.
