I updated my 6420's BIOS from A08 to A19 and found the same behavior -- if the computer goes to sleep the X session accepts no mouse clicks, though the mouse pointer will still move.
I can ctrl-alt-f6 (or f4 etc.) and get to a text console, log in, sudo, kill the active X session and log into the computer again. This isn't exactly a useful workaround. For the time being I have set the system to "do nothing" when I close the lid -- instead of sleep. This doesn't help my battery life, but I keep it plugged in most of the time. I'd love to see a fix for this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1162360 Title: [Dell Inc.
