In response to comment #8 and comment #9, which version of CUPS are you running? According to this link OpenSUSE 12.3 include CUPS v1.5.4:
http://software.opensuse.org/package/cups My comment (and those of others) was a suggestion that CUPS v1.6.2 fixes the issue. Does the build service version of OpenSUSE include the newer version of CUPS?
