Per post41, and the reason for me attempting to make a working LiveCD with your kernel installed, is because I need to keep the Win8 OS on the XPS 18 touch, I cannot wipe that to install Ubuntu locally. (In the very least, not until I know with certainty Ubuntu will support the touchscreen.) This is why I've been trying to create a bootable USB flash drive with your kernel, which (per all the work I did and posted previously) does not seem suitable for a LiveCD boot.
