Public bug reported: When booting off the live CD for ubuntu-12.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso, ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso, ubuntu-13.04-desktop-amd64.iso and a desktop installation of Ubuntu 12.04.3 AMD64, the computer failed to start when initializing the cfg80211 module. I know the wireless card is related to the failure because removing the card causes the machine to boot. Also, when booting with the ignore_loglevel option, booting frequently fails near messages about the cfg80211 module. I attached a screen shot of where the system halted when loading ubuntu-13.04 -desktop-amd64.iso with the ingore_loglevel option enabled.
Other relevant hardware I have installed is an Nvidia 780 GTX. My processor is a Intel i7 3930K - C2 Stepping. My BIOS image is up to date. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1219599 Title: Booting fails with AsRock X79 Extreme6 motherboard and ASUS PCE-N10 wireless n PCIe adaptor.
