OS: Kubuntu 12.04
HW: clevo p150em notebook - don't know the touchpad manufacturer

I have exactly the same problem with my clevo p150em notebook. (no
movement, scrolling still possible) It's quite frustrating. It happened
several time while I was watching youtube videos, but the reason for
this could be that I did spend a lot of time on youtube...

I have synaptiks enabled (the tool to control the touchpad). I enabled
the "disable touchpad for 1sec after button pressed" option and the
"disable touchpad when mouse is present".

I don't know how to force this bug. Maybe some dev has to work for 1-2h
without a mouse, maybe then the bug will occure.
