forgot to add that my wifi card is a BCM4313 (same as the bug reporter), and this is a bug introduced with the upgrade of broadcom drivers, so this is indeed a duplicate of bug 1097519, although that bug should have a better title explaining that the bug is because of the privative driver and not because Ubuntu is using the wrong one, as wl should work for BCM4313.
