Public bug reported: I have a couple of NFS4 shares being exported from FreeBSD machine with the no_root_squash option (maproot on FreeBSD).
I have a couple Ubuntu 12.04 clients that mount the shares and behave normally. If I am root on one of these machines I can chown files to any user/group but if I try the same on Ubuntu 13.04 the user gets mapped to nobody. I also tried Mint 15 and it has the same problem, so this isn't an Ubuntu problem per se, but I'm not sure where it might be. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1223487 Title: nfs4 mounted share is not mapping root correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1223487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
