Thanks for the notification of the new BIOS. As I said, I had the same problem on another computer that was not a Dell M4600 (not even a dell), so I don't think the BIOS update would help. Moreover, I cannot test it on my dell M4600 because the problem has been solved with blacklist uas (and then mount and unblacklist). I would need to do a new installation to test for it.
So, I cannot say anything on the M4600, but for my other computer, I did a new installation with raring, and it worked at first try. I don't know if the problem is solved natively on M4600 with raring, but it is with my HP... Lets say it is solved if this affects nobody else on quantal or raring... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1085889 Title: [Dell Precision M4600] Cannot mount USB3 external drive while plugged before boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1085889/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
