Same thing happening here. I can't get any of the parts of seahorse to work with one another at all.
Initially, if I just boot up and then try to sign or encrypt a file using the seahorse nautilus plugin, I see the dialogue to choose which key to sign with, but then nothing happens. I check and see that seahorse-daemon is running. If I try to run seahorse (the "Passwords and Keys" dialogue), nothing happens. If I kill the seahorse-daemon, seahorse will open, but then I no keys are found if I try to use the Nautilus plugin. It says it will now I try to run seahorse-daemon again and get the error message: "No encryption keys were found with which to perform the operation you requested. The program Passwords and Encryption Keys will now be started so that you may either create a key or import one." But actually nothing happens. Now, if I try to run seahorse-daemon manually, I get the following message: "** (seahorse-daemon:18267): WARNING **: Could not load desktop file '/usr/share/gnome/autostart/seahorse-daemon.desktop': No such file or directory" So it seems it's only possible to use gnupg on Ubuntu now through the command line. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1154049 Title: Crashes with GLib-GIO-CRITICAL.
