Stan, when you file a bug report on Launchpad, you are automatically notified by email of all changes to the bug. To change the notifications you get from Launchpad bugs, find this text near the upper right corner of the bug report page:
You are subscribed to all notifications for this bug. Left-click it to open a small window that lets you change your email notification settings.
