and your evdev output on event10 confirms that the device *claims* to
support KEY_BRIGHTNESS{UP,DOWN}.

If you don't get any events on either device, this must be fixed in the
kernel keyboard driver, reassigning to linux. Any chance you could try
to install/boot the raring kernel on current saucy, to check if that
brings back the keys?
