I tried installing linux version 3.11.0-8 over my precise installation from the Ubuntu package repositories website. Unfortunately, neither the keyboard nor mouse responded at all when booting with this verison. I suppose I could try a true Saucy environment, but I'm not sure exactly how to use this kernel version with a livecd. Would I have to actually install Saucy? I don't think I'm prepared to do that just now.
