Here are the results:

>>> sys.path

'/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-old', '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload', 
'/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages']

"sudo update-python-modules -p" does not change the paths.
