Public bug reported: I'm unable to upgrade to procps 1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.1 inside an LXC on Ubuntu 12.04.3 (same version for both host and container).
When I run 'apt-get upgrade' I get: Setting up procps (1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.1) ... start: Job failed to start invoke-rc.d: initscript procps, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing procps (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: procps E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) So I'm unable to cleanly upgrade the system. Nothing has changed in the machine settings. Same error with dpkg -i. ################################################ Description: Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS Release: 12.04 procps: Installed: 1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.1 Candidate: 1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.1 Version table: *** 1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6.1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.2.8-11ubuntu6 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages ################################################ ** Affects: procps (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1240421 Title: Unable to upgrade procps inside an LXC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/procps/+bug/1240421/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
