Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with secure-delete 3.1-6 and in some cases the wrong mode is shown. Here is an example output:
root@ubuntu:~# sfill -fllv /tmp Wipe mode is insecure (one pass [random]) Wiping now ... Creating /tmp/oooooooo.ooo ... ^C Terminated by signal. Clean exit. The manpage says the following: "-f fast (and insecure mode): no /dev/urandom, no synchronize mode.". In this case shouldn't there be the text "0xff" instead of "random"? ** Affects: secure-delete (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1240945 Title: Wrong mode is shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/secure-delete/+bug/1240945/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
