Just installed Saucy, and I am confirming this is an issue for me, too.
I managed to set it to ctr+alt+space, which seems to be the least bad
option for me... I was always using alt+caps.

It looks like it forces you to take an alpha-numeric key for the
shortcut, which is unpractical for obvious reasons. So we are forced to
use space there, which is the only really universal cross-layout
alphanumeric key.

It is a serious regression. Especially for us language and literature
students and professionals.
