Public bug reported: Very similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update- manager/+bug/461744
Apport started up when do-dist-upgrade crashed but it failed silently after and so I unfortunately do not have the stack trace or the apport files. But it was a Python stack trace (NoneType object reference related to window_main). Remounting /tmp with 'exec' flag fixed the problem as in the original bug linked above. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dist-upgrade noexec python raring saucy tmp ** Tags added: dist-upgrade ** Tags added: noexec python raring saucy tmp ** Description changed: - The same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update- + Very similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update- manager/+bug/461744 Apport started up when do-dist-upgrade crashed but it failed silently after and so I unfortunately do not have the stack trace or the apport files.
