I created an executable desktop file. Click on it and network comes up for me Single line in the file says " gksu restart network-manager". I think putting "gksu nmcli nm sleep false" would also work.
For my video card fan not respinning from suspend, I unplugged fan wire from video card board and hardwired to a system fan plug on the motherboard.
