Public bug reported: On Ubuntu 10.04 used as server, cron-apt seems to trigger package upgrades even if 'unattended-upgrades' is not installed.
I encountered several upgrades happened some time after 4:00, which links to the default cron job and random waiting time cron-apt uses before fetching package updates. However, the configuration is not modified by me, and 'unattended- upgrades' is not installed. There are also no settings made by Gnome config tools etc. as they where never installed. My guess is '-o APT::Get::Show-Upgraded=true' used by /etc/cron- apt/action.d/3-download is not working properly? ** Affects: cron-apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244606 Title: cron-apt seems to upgrade packages by itself To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cron-apt/+bug/1244606/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
