So what we are doing, is updating the driver from the repository.  Isn't
the newest driver included in Ubuntu when it releases or is it because
it's the restricted driver?  So after I install I will have to do this
again, but only one time?

How long has this been happening?  I couldn't get Feisty to work either.
I wonder if they are working on this?  I have seen a few of these posts,
but none of them are assigned to anyone.  Do you think this will be
fixed before Gutsy is released?  I am sure there are a ton of people out
there with this ATI chipset that will not know about this trick and just
assume that Ubuntu just doesn't work for them.
