As of today, Ubuntu Saucy is still shipping Thunderbird 24.0.0. But the extentions are of course updated nevertheless. That left me with a Thunderbird 24.0.0 and Lightning 2.6.1 which shows exactly the same issue as running TB 24.0.1 with Lightning 2.6.0.
