Hi Christopher Thank you for your input. I am trying to see if the Asus technical service comes up with a good way to update the BIOS under Ubuntu (I bought this computer with Ubuntu preinstalled, they should be able to help me) because the Ubuntu help is scaring me a bit...
I'll let you know when I hear from them. By the way, I updated to Ubuntu 13.10 and the problem is still here. I just checked the kernel version, it says 3.12.0-031200rc3-generic, which means that I am still using the upstream kernel that I installed before. Should I go back to the stock kernel from 13.10 (version 3.11.0...)? If so, how do I do this?
