Addendum to Robert Bamler's install procedure in post #82: You can skip the Raring step and install Saucy directly if you have an external monitor connected. This bug only affects the internal monitor. Then install the fixed kernel packages and reboot.
Also, like Mr. Bamler, I'm interested in knowing if/when this will be fixed upstream so I can apt-get upgrade the kernel to a working official version again. Will it be posted here? (Right now, I've locked the kernel version in Synaptic, as that seemed the easiest solution, but I don't really want to lock the kernel version due to security fixes, etc.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1195483 Title: Installation, Live and Check disc do not start on Asus ZenBook Prime UX31A To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1195483/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
