Installing gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-dbg was no problem, of course. 
But I'm not 100% sure if I got the debug build of totem right...
gdb started fine but after the crash it said it could not get any registers... 
Anyway, I got some strange effect that was not there before: 
some part of totem turned orange. Really weird. So I'll attach both, a little 
screenshot and the text file gdb produced... 

In case I screwed something: my architecture seems to be 386 according
to the files in /boot. Strange enough since I got an Athlon64. Maybe the
other file was not available when I downloaded Ubuntu? Dunno...
