Unfortunately it does not change anything. I tested with 13.10 live and get the same behaviour. The output of dmidecode is as follows:
1708 04/10/2013 When going to standby from within logged in user session when waking up I get a blank dark screen with nothing although I can change to console (tty1-6). When going to standby from login screen of lightdm I get some chaos: colourful patterned screen, mousepointer is visible, I can select the menu in the upper right corner but it is a mere white box drawing orange rectangles when the pointer is hovering over menuitems. I can select them getting a white box again. With <enter> I can select the default. Switching to console is possible here too. But here (when going to standby from lightdm) I get repeating output on all consoles (tty1-6): [nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] [nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] SHADER 0xa004021e TRAP ch2 [0x003f6ff000 xorg[1108]] (there may be some transcription-errors for it failed to log the output via script or something) Thank you for taking the time!
