I worked for some hours with kernel 3.12 and here's the situation with respect to version 3.11: - problem "rtl8192cu module is able to connect to the wifi modem only if the modem is very near (1-2 meters)": SEEM (I hope) to be resolved - problem "Randomly the connection go down like the modem was turned off (but the modem is still stand up)": SEEM (I hope) to be resolved - problem "the connection seem to be slow and the signal quality retrieved is low": sometime the connection is still slow and the wifi icon indicates steadily that the signal has 2/3 power (the full signal is never reached)
