@Christopher: be so kind please, keep your ppa up to date, at least to 3.8.6. I don't use any special mouse wheel bindings such as switching workspaces using the Viewport Switcher plugin in Compiz. Just default, moreover, this bug was revealling after clean install of trusty. I can't scroll on inactive nautilus or gedit windows. But it seems that gtk+3.0 in trusty is the same in saucy though.
