Sorry again: I got confused and I wrote "lubuntu" where I meant to say "xubuntu".
My system is xubuntu 13.10, with near-default config (with just the addition of "greeter-hide-users" in lightdm.conf). See my config files below. There is no possibility of using the keyboard to access anything other than the "username" and "password" fields in the login screen. It'd be nice to have some configuration to assign keyboard shortcuts to some functions (like shutdown, accessibility meny, language, etc...). My main interest is the shutdown menu. I can configure my xubuntu (xfce) session with any keyboard shortcut I like for different functions. It'd be very nice to do the same thing in the login screen (lightdm-gtk-greeter). Pressing the power button is not a good option (the desktop tower is not close to the keyboard). > cat /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf [SeatDefaults] greeter-session=lightdm-gtk-greeter user-session=xubuntu allow-guest=false greeter-hide-users=true greeter-show-manual-login=true > cat /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf [greeter] background=/lib/plymouth/themes/xubuntu-logo/wallpaper.png theme-name=Greybird icon-theme-name=elementary-xfce font-name=Droid Sans 10 xft-antialias=true xft-dpi=96 xft-hintstyle=slight xft-rgba=rgb show-language-selector=true show-indicators= show-clock=true clock-format=%a, %d %b %Y %H:%M keyboard=onboard -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1249731 Title: Keyboard shortcuts in lightdm To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm-gtk-greeter/+bug/1249731/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
