This bug is still present in the Kubuntu 13.10 installer The patch/workaround provided in comment #23 helped me finish the installation.
I never had any problems while using multiple partitions during the installation. The thing that got changed is that I (partially) use my harddisks in a LVM setup. The LVM partitions are shown twice, where the child item is only usable (and shows the filesystem type). Is this the expected behavior?
