Ok, this is not problem in mplayer, but in libav/ffmeg. Library libavformat.so must be compiled with rtmp support. And ubuntu provides two libavformat.so packages. One with rtmp and one without rtmp support. That one with rtmp support has name libavformat-extra-53. So after installing libavformat-extra-53 mplayer can play rtmp streams. So just call:
$ sudo aptitude install libavformat-extra-53 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945071 Title: mplayer in 12.04 is not compiled with RTMP support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mplayer/+bug/945071/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
