** Description changed:

  debian-archive-keyring is too old. The result being that, once
  installed, debootstrap will fail for Debian Testing.

  $ sudo debootstrap testing ./testing http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/
  I: Retrieving Release
  I: Retrieving Release.gpg
  I: Checking Release signature
  E: Release signed by unknown key (key id 8B48AD6246925553)

  The package available in precise-backports works fine but this would
- mean a user enabling backports, which upgrades any and all packages that
- have a newer backports releases. This is not always desirable.
+ mean a user enabling backports, which *may* upgrade any and all packages
+ that have a newer backports releases. This is not always desirable.
+
+ EDIT: Okay, so, on reading a lot about how APT works it seem that
+ enabling backports doesn't have such a dramatic negative effect, but
+ someone more knowledgeable can confirm or deny this.
