Random note, "KWindowSystem::compositingActive()" only tests whether
*some* compositor (xcompmgr, mutter, e17 ...)  is running - not that
kwin is running.

With the hotfix there's no need to wait a lot for kwin (test for the
screenshot effect dbus interface), but for other compositors you want to
wait for a second anyway (eg. explosion or burn effects take quite some
time)

You'll completely loose the ability to shoot occluded/translucent/shadowed 
windows by that approach and it's equal to simply pressing "Shift+Alt+F12" to 
take the screenshot.
Also one could add a window rule for that purpose.
