Public bug reported:

When i go for shutdown(logout/restart) the system after a long time use
and some application are still open, then nothing happen. Shutdown
dialog pop up but after click on shutdown nothing happen (dialog gone).
I can still work, no hang, nothing. In this kind of situation i had to
shutdown the system  from terminal. And that works every time.
