@Everyone Just for the record, this bug does affect Xubuntu 13.10 as well. I installed Xubuntu 13.10 both i368 and amd64 and it seems, this bug is alive with Xubuntu as well and that is obvious and logical because Xubuntu is using xfce4-power-manager as well.
