Pesky bug has been around since 2006 and it's still here! Workaround in post 35 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /initramfs-tools/+bug/50437/comments/35) is not difficult to find -- and it's always refreshing to learn something more about the system -- but until a real fix can be applied, just a small note in fstab would do:
