Dear Christopher, sorry for the delay. I tried to make an extensive set of experiments, using live installations. The new "Trusty" version starts the wireless connection immediately (both 32 and 64 bit systems). However, also the live installation of 12.4.3 (32 bits) works perfectly, which is peculiar (it is the same version installed on my HD)... More experiments with the current (troublesome) HD installation showed that after disabling and re-enabling wireless once or twice, usually the connection can be completed. Any idea of why this happens?
