Ubuntu better. Can you explain in what context you are trying to run the
yum command?
It looks to me like you are trying to update your Ubuntu system with
yum, is that correct? This is most definitely not what the yum command
is provided for in Ubuntu. Please read /usr/share/doc/yum/README.Debian.
